Red and white

Another two for the price of one post :P  This is my first dotting and I still need a lot of practice to get my dots nice even and round but I kind of like this result

I used Oriflame Passion red and Essence Stamp me white with Essence dotting tool

This is a manicure I did a while ago for Smart girls get more contest on facebook and I used their polishes except the silver one is Look by BIPA Metallic matt. I like the white base and red glitter combo I think I'll wear it a lot for the upcoming holiday season. So what do you think?

Pinkness

I'm going to be quick today because I don't have time. I wanted to show you this one along with the manicure from the last post but I didn't have time to polish my nails with the base color again. So I did it yesterday and here are the photos. This is Flormar 381 and it's pink :D

Picture in the shade, on both pictures there are three coats with top coat. There is still some visible nail line but nothing very noticeable or that you can see in the pictures. As you suppose the consistency of this polish is little thin and you need to be careful with the application or you'll end up with bald spots. 

Standard for Flormar you get 11 mL of nail polish, regular brush, regular drying time, nothing special but it's a nice color to have. It's bright baby pink if that has any sense :) Now I have to go but if you want to know anything else just ask in the comments :)

Glitter all around

In the end I did the smokey eye from the last post and Mari mentioned that she wants to see my manicure for the wedding so this is it :)

I used Flormar 381 as a base and over it L.A. Girl Uninhibited and on the accent nail three coats of L.A. Girl Overdose. Over everything two coats of top coat to smooth everything out

Both pics are taken in the shade and the last one is shot in the sun. 

This is a picture holding my dress so you can see the color. The wedding went well I danced all night and managed to get a cold but I hope it will pass in the next few days. 

Pink smokey eye

I don't have pictures in better lightning but since I made them I decided to post them. I'm trying to decide on a look that I'll wear for my cousins wedding. My dress is bright pink, like Orly Fancy fuchsia pink (this is the best way of describing the color to fellow addicts :D ) so depending on the nails I'll do (still thinking about that) I'll do a smokey eye or nude eyes with bright lipstick. The downside of the bright lipstick is that I'll have to reapply it trough the night. I'm rambly this is what I had in mind for the smokey eyes.

 

I wanted to go with the pink theme but not over do it so everything is pink. I really like this eyeshadow  it's pink but it has fine blue shimmer which makes everything slightly more interesting. 

Smokey eyes are tricky with hooded eyes, but I think that this one suits my eye shape. Layering the bright pink was an idea from one of the recent videos from Lisa Eldrigde which I think is really cool and I had to try it. 

And the full look with the open eyes :) Tell me what you think, should I do something else, change anything,  maybe slightly subtler highlighting under the brow bone, different blush or lipstick? I didn't put any false eyelashes but I intend to use a few individuals on the day. Next time I need to remember to do these things during daylight, but it is what it is. 

Teal me about it

This is a lazy lazy Sunday, but I decided not to be so lazy and type up this post :D This polish is currently on my nails and it's Flormar Pretty P29. 

With top coat and in artificial lightning. It's turquoise shimmer in dark teal base. In the pics it is slightly more blue than in person. 

In natural lightning, there is three coats of nail polish on all pictures, you maybe could get away with two but the color becomes deeper and prettier with another coat. 

Normal consistency and brush, it dries not super fast but quickly. You get 6 mL of polish for a reasonable price. On me it doesn't chip fast, but I do get tipwear after a day of wearing it. 

And this is how I wore it with Sky high this summer for my last day on the beach :( so you can see it in the sun. Now I'll resume film watching and I hope you find this post useful :)

Let me be your hero baby

I'm into accent nails lately so I did one today. I chose grey because I think it's a nice underwear for the polish I wanted to show you today.  This is how I started with the two grey polishes.

My favorite Five pocket grey with the accent with Alessandro, no top coat, pictured in natural and in artificial lightning.

I've been a bad saver again and I bought College here from the Class of 2013 limited edition from Essence and here it is over the grey and with top coat in natural lightning. The bottle contains 8 mL, application is usual for glitter and it has plain old thin brush. 

And in artificial lightning. It's a silver glitter with small round and bigger hexagonal particles in a clear base. On the bottle there is some nonsense about holographic shimmer which just means that Essence didn't really learn anything about what holographic means and it's still annoying.  (and there is no shimmer here but glitter) How do you like it? How do you like or did you like your college experience? I'm a bit sad that mine is over because it was fun :)

Azure are you sure?

Back to the nails today :) I have another Essence polish and it's Sure Azure, it has unfortunately been discontinued in the last change of assortments but it's a pretty polish so I'll show it to you anyways. 

It's a light blue polish with fine silver shimmer that gives it some depth. On both pictures there is two coats and a top coat. The first picture is in the sun and the second one is in the shade.

Brush, application, consistency is standard Essence, it's not difficult to work with as some of the shades like this can be. I hope you are having a nice start of the week or for the Croatian girls nice long weekend :)

Fifty shades review

I haven't written a book review since high school and even then it wasn't in English so bear with me and my mistakes, but I wanted to try to write it. I've finished Fifty shades trilogy yesterday and reading it whole was a waste of time. I think it would be tolerable if it was just one book. I know she would make less money that way, but she would avoid  being too repetitive, somewhere in the middle of the second book I felt like I was reading the same book all over again and it wasn't fun. I don't know if she became aware of the repetitiveness in the third book, or the second one was a "filler" book but it's slightly better. On Goodreads I gave all three books two stars for it's ok even though some parts were really dreadful and I couldn't wait to finish it. There are many phrases in the book that repeat all the time and after hundred pages or so it becomes really annoying, if I read "inner goddess" , "carnal anything" or "holy shit" I will kill the writer of the book. This is a classic boy meets girl and they live happily ever after story, just with the additional try to make the story interesting with "kinky fuckery" as the main character calls it in the book. This aspect of the book is so highly unbelievable that I didn't know whether to laugh or or wish to punch the characters. Both of them are always willing and ready and everything always go smoothly and (very) quickly. First sexual experience for twenty something old virgin Anastasia is so poorly and idiotically written that I wished to end the book there, let alone believe that she was willing  to get involved in a BDSM relationship. Outside of the sex part I found it hard to believe that the writer could keep these two characters together for any reason because she is always afraid of him and he is always possessive and wants to keep her in a cage for his amusement and all that under the excuse of "keeping her safe". There are some parts of the book that are interesting and that back story is what kept me reading the book but I won't spoil it for you if you wish to read it, I think that there are many good books to spend your time on so unless you are very bored and have nothing else to read I would recommend you to skip it.

Pinky silweare

My first Depend nail polishes :D well I'm showing you only one today. I won these polishes on the Parokeets giveaway. I wanted to try Depend nail polishes for a long time, but they are still not available in Croatia and I still haven't been in Slovenia since they have been introduced but I am getting more of these when I go. 

This is the Depend 218 and it's a medium dark pink with lots of silver shimmer that shows up on the nails really well. This is a picture in the shade two coats and no top coat. Yes they are really shiny. 

And these two are in the sun, also without top coat. There is only 5 mL in the bottle which is sad it would be better if they had bigger bottles. They have standard brush but what I really love is their consistency and that they apply so smooth and easy like melted butter. 

Unfortunately there is a down side, even with top coat this one chipped on me really fast, in just a few hours and I haven't been doing much at all in that time, so it's really pretty but not very long lasting. I hope it's just a fluke and that the other ones last longer. Tell me what do you think and do you have any Depend nail polishes?

You shall see this only once

Few posts ago I told you that it was my last drops of Sold out forever, but I managed to squeeze another manicure out of it and I realized that I don't have a full swatch of it on the blog so here it is, in the sun, no top coat

And then I had bright green Butterfly single nail polish (there was no number on it) that I got as a part of a lot I bought and it was really sheer so I decided to layer it over this because it would never go opaque on its own and it's too streaky over white

This is in the shade with top coat, two coats of the green. I kind of like the result even though I am not fan of green and I must say it was brighter in person, bordering on neon. Since I don't have Sold out forever anymore ( I've finished a nail polish yay :D haven't done that in a long time) I've frankened this sheer one into something else which I will show you another time.  As the title says this amount of green on this blog you shall see only once so how do you like it?
