It has only six episodes but it's first place is well deserved. Good thing is that each episode last an hour and a half which is a regular movie length, so it's like you have six movies, with no bad sequels, they are all great. My favorite episode is Scandal in Belgravia, or fourth episode, or first episode of season two. I could re-watch it all the time, I already did and will do it again :D Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are perfect. Give us season three, we need season three!
Finally today they got back and well it's been a long hiatus. If you decide to watch this, well you have material, the season that begun is number 9 so a lot of episodes. With this show you'll get scared (but mostly in the first season), you'll cry (#feels), you'll laugh and laugh a lot, you'll drool ( Sam and Dean aren't the only hot guys in it, but even if they were they'd be enough) and of course you'll be begging for more when you watch the latest episode aired. For my top two I even have a Pinterest board where I fangirl about them A LOT (don't say I didn't warn you, oh an possible spoilers, look after you've watched if you don't like them)
3. Sons of Anarchy
Not everybody's cup of tea, I thought it wouldn't be mine but I was wrong I love the show now, which is in it's sixth season now. Lots of action, unexpected events and it will also make you laugh. You might see the pattern I like shows that aren't comedies but still make you laugh. This is a show about a motorcycle club and friendship and family bonds. Try the first season, if you don't like it it probably doesn't have sense to continue watching it
The American version, I didn't watch the British one, but I heard that this one is better, and this one has three seasons while British one has bajillion so I decided not to watch it. Great cast that works well together, and a show that will make you laugh (and be disgusted sometimes, but mainly laugh). There are some irritating characters but nothing too terrible that will make you not want to watch it. It's a story of a large family putting up with their alcoholic father, it doesn't sound great, but trust me it is. Fourth season will start again in January so you have time to catch up :)
I swear I like shows that don't start with an S. This is a show that is all about the story and there is no lingering and filling episodes. It's a love story, it's a political show, it's about a strong woman and scandals of course.
I have a thing for series about lawyers, but this one isn't about court cases and I love it for that. Gabriel Macht an Patrick J. Adams don't hurt either (). They have some weaker episodes this season (third one) but I loved first two so I hope they don't go downhill from here
7. The Good Wife
Another lawyer series, but this one with a female lead and some politics, some interesting cases. It's in it's fifth season and I don't know how much longer it will run, but I really enjoyed it.
A teen series, my guilty pleasure, a comedy that makes me laugh, not many american comedies do. Three seasons, 20 minute episodes, it won't take you a long time to watch it. Beau Mirchoff? Yes please :)
9. Franklin and Bash
Another lawyer series but this time a comedy, lovely summer series when I don't want anything heavy and just want to laugh. Funny cases and a funny cast
10. Doctor Who
I'm still in the process of watching it, but I'm loving it, so many #feels, so many funny things, so many aliens :D I can't say anything more until I keep up with the series :) and it probably will rank higher than number ten but it's here for now.
Discontinued shows I'd like to mention: The Borgias, cancelled not so long ago, canceled too soon :( I really wish they had a proper final season. House, you probably all know about it I liked it and they did a nice ending, I respect that, Secret diary of a call girl, a British show, Billie Piper is amazing in it, funny, sometimes sad, the ending crushed me, The big C, it has four seasons, they got to properly end it, a little heavy subject but it's a dramedy so it's not depressing and final mention Chuck, this ending I don't like but it's a good series I hope they will get to do the movie and make up for the lousy ending.
I could talk about many more series that are good but this post would be too long, maybe some other time if you like this one :) If you did tell me in the comments so I can do another one :) What are your favorite series? I'm always looking for the recommendations for something new :)
