Bloody Mary Christmas

Sorry for going MIA like this but I got sick and hard disk on my laptop crashed and now all I can do is pray that the technician saves the data I don't have backed up among them photos of my past manis :( Fortunately my thesis is backed up or I would be extremely furious now. but onto the only pics I have now

This was my Christmas mani, red with red and gold glitter, classic colors nothing unexpected but pretty and sparkly

This one is in shade, and other two are in the sun, and all are with top coat

And close ups so you can see glitter better. This is two coats of Catrice-Bloody Mary to go and glitters are some no name ones. I don't have any Photoscape on this computer so just these plain without the frame ones. These ones are bigger (you can see it when you click on them), do you prefer this size or smaller ones? I hope you have a good time tomorrow night I know I'll be spending mine in bed with lots of hot tea  better luck next year :(

Purple rain

Last few months I've wanted a cream purple polish, a real purple not oh I'm so dark I almost look like black  in every other lightning other than bright sun. Since I couldn't find anything I liked in the stores only option I had was to take everything in my own hands and franken something

and this is what came out, color is little bit darker than Milka purple. First two pics are in the sun without top coat, and color is more like on the first picture.

I used S-he dark purple cream polish, remains of Essence-Date me  and a plain white from Carlo di Roma which I always use to lighten some color and its really runny so when I mix it with thicker polishes they have nice texture afterwards.

Artificial light no top coat. Thing with frankens is that you need to shake, shake, shake to get homogeneous color or you'll get lighter and darker streaks during your application

And this is artificial light with top coat and slightly older picture, blue reflection is from my screen ^_^ This is from the first day that I made this and you can see that the whole bottle is not really the same color but sometimes  especially when polishes you mix are of different consistencies they need more time to properly mix. Oh explanations are longer than I thought they would be. I have a lot to do today so I better go run :) I hope your Wednesday will be more relaxed than mine :D

Into the dark

Vampires love collection is still available and I've seen there is still some of this polish left on the stands. At first I thought that I don't need anything from this collection, but when I saw it I gave in to this polish and red (or better say pink) lipstain

This is Into the dark, its dark blue with silver shimmer in it. I love the fact that this is not streaky. All pictures are in the sun without top coat

It can be a one coater if you are very careful, since as usual I am not this is two coats. It dries really quick and I can't find it any faults.

It dries little bit darker than it is in the bottle but that's not unusual in shades like this. I don't know what more to say but it's good you need to have it -_- :D

Gradient on gradient

I didn't intend to write another post so soon, but as I just made this I couldn't wait to publish it. Even worse it's gradient nails again, this time with gradient on them ^_^

This is the base, thumb is matte again for some reason XD Sorry for the imperfections I knew that I would sponge over it so I didn't mind.

And this is with sponging on them. I didn't want them to look unifom so I tried to inverse it. For some symmetry (which I am a fan of most of the time) I need more fingers, but since I don't have them, no symmetry today :D

This is under artificial light with a thick layer of top coat to even everything out. List of used polishes is in the tags :) Let me know what you think <3 p="p">

Red beauty for the holidays

Recently as you probably already know Flormar arrived to Croatia \0_0/ and I had to pick a few to try them out. All I can say that I am impressed, they are great value for the price.

First that I am showing you is from the Supershine miracle line and it's U14 or as I like to call it Red beauty ^_^ First three pics are in the natural light (no sun) without top coat.

This is three coats and there is still some visible nail line but all reds I own are not opaque enough to cover it. It dries quickly so more coats isn't a real issue.

It's slightly goldish fine glitter in red jelly base. I hope that's visible on this picture. The brush is standard and normal, I only needed to get used to shape of the top so it sits comfortably in my hand.

This is one coat layered over Essence-Back to the 50s with a little heart sticker and a top coat <3 under artificial light

Also under artificial light, with S-he white crackle and top coat. This combination especially in RL looks kind of weird. Or is it just to me? All in all I will keep buying Flormar I have my eye on some other shades :D

Green eyes and winter nails

I'm not in the mood for writing today, so just pictures, little words :)

Colors were bit more vivid in RL and all pics were taken under artificial light

I have hooded eyes so my line doesn't stay crisp for very long :(

And for the end a snowflake manicure so you don't miss my nails ^_^

Sometimes it's good to deviate

Today I didn't expect anything out of the ordinary but that's why surprises are so fun and brighten your day. When Lalica looked for a name for her jewelry page I won a ring for helping her with a name.  I looked through her blog and as soon as I saw the swatch of China Glaze-DV8 I knew what I wanted for a ring since this is probably the closest I'll ever get to this polish since they are HTF.

Both pictures are under artificial light since I had to take pictures as soon as I got it out of the package. First picture is to show off the color and the second one is that you can see the rainbow. <3 p="p">

Also today is what we in Croatia call saint Nikola and though I am not big on traditions I am glad that this arrived today since it's my only present today and Nikola is known to bring presents to kids ^_^ that were good the whole year. It seems after all that I was a good girl =) Lalica thank you <3>

Degree of blue

I can't believe that this is just my second gradient manicure, differently colored nails are not something I usually go for. I chose 5 simple polishes that kind of got boring all by themselves but could make an interesting mix. Of course this one is blue <3 p="p">

Polishes I've used, names of all are in the tags so I don't repeat them :)

All the pictures are under artificial light and this and the next one are with top coat

Sorry for the cut on the thumb I don't know where I got it. I think that I caught colors better. I have individual swatches of all polishes except of Blue cura ciao which is almost impossible to capture but I'll try to snap some pictures next time I wear it as a full manicure

And this one is without top coat so the thumb is still matte, but I added a top coat because I wanted them all to have the same finish. Have a nice end of the weekend
